Hawsons have had the pleasure of assisting in the refurbishment of a 1959 Albion chassis. It had originally been operating as a flatbed until its present owner Mr William Innes purchased it for the purpose of transporting and displaying his musical organ.Mr Innes required the old flatbed removed, and a new GRP box body built. The new body has a few special features not normally included, one being a removable inspection hatch inside to allow access to the mid engine and gearbox, as the cab on this old Albion was of the fixed

type, once the body was fitted it would have ment removing the engine and box just to do any minor repairs. (As many of the original U bolts and fittings as possible were re-used). The nearside of the body has a full side opening and dropside to allow for the organ to be loaded and displayed.Due to the age of the chassis the vehicle requires no side marker lights, side guards, rear under run or seat belts.

Members of The Riding For The Disabled group, generously sponsored last year by Hawson Garner, were fortunate enough to be invited to the International Show Jumping Championships at Olympia in December. This was a fantastic opportunity for the riders to see the professionals in action, all in the comfort of a private box, donated by the actor Anthony Andrews and his wife, who visited during the afternoon to give the riders a commemorative rosette.
